WWE outlined World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Freakin Rollins Adversary for SummerSlam

WWE SummerSlam is scheduled on August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The venue is all set date is fixed as well but WWE did not reveal any of the matches officially. WWE is still on the way to declaring the bouts officially. However, Some of the bouts can be easily expected owing to the critical situation among the wrestlers. The foremost is Seth Rollins will take on Finn Bálor in the SummerSlam bout.

According to Dave Meltzer, The Wrestling Observer Radio, after losing the match against The world heavyweight champion Seth Freakin Rollins, Finn Balor is in a position to throw an open challenge to Seth again. In Money in the Bank 2023 Seth Rollins successfully retained the World title by breaking Finn Balor with Curb Stomp. However, Finn Bálor thinks he lost solely because of Damian Priest. Mainly, to clear this doubt, he’ll be challenging Seth to prove his champion skills.

What’s Next for Finn Bálor?

Finn Balor has always claimed that he is far better than Seth Rollins and whenever he will get the chance, he’ll be showing this to the world without any hesitation. It is conjectured that Balor will not be participating in the NXT Great American Bash main event with NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov the week before SummerSlam on August 5. This is because WWE is currently focused on rebuilding Balor’s character.

The reason for this doubt is that Balor is scheduled to wrestle Seth at SummerSlam. It is unlikely that WWE would have him lose a match right before two championship matches that are so close together. WWE has announced Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov for the event. Indicating that Balor is currently being protected and is being booked to win matches in order to prepare him for his match against Seth.

According to Meltzer, it is uncertain if WWE will add Hayes and Dragunov to make it a triple-threat match at Great American Bash. However, it is confirmed that Balor vs. Rollins is scheduled for SummerSlam. The plan is for Finn to win consistently to rehabilitate him for the match against Seth.
