Dominik Mysterio got one of the biggest wins of his life winning the NXT North American Championship. While many superstars want that title from him, it seems that Rey Mysterio is also a part of the list.
Judgement Day has been ruling WWE throughout this year on both brands RAW and SmackDown. With their recent championship accolade, they now have cemented their grounds on NXT as well. Dominik Mysterio shockingly won the NXT North American Championship last week on NXT. Wes Lee eventually lost his championship to Dominik after interference from Judgement Day.
Since his historic win, people have been buzzing about his title victory and want a piece of it. Dominik’s very own father, Rey Mysterio wants a shot at his NA title. Being on WWE’s The Bump recently, Rey Mysterio talked about his son’s success in WWE. Rey expressed his joy at Dominik’s success and expressed his sadness saying they’re not together. Rey Mysterio further talked about how he’ll never forget what Dominik did to his own family and promised that things will change. Surprisingly, Rey Mysterio warned Dominik to not get in the ring with him as he will claim that NA title.

“You can’t even imagine the amount of pride and joy that I feel every time he accomplishes something. That still doesn’t take away the fact that he’s disrespected his whole family. I’m extremely proud of what he’s doing and what he’s conquering. He just better not step in the ring with me because I will take that North American Title.”
Rey Mysterio had an unforgettable match with his son Dominik this past year at WrestleMania. The match itself was full of various moments, from the entrances to the ending, it was stacked. Rey Mysterio prevailed in the victory and showed Dominik how a family should be respected and treated.
Dominik and Rey Mysterio continue their hunt for gold
Dominik Mysterio will be a part of the upcoming NXT Great American Bash defending his championship. He will face Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali for the North American Championship and it promises to be a banger.
As for Rey Mysterio, he will be looking to capture the United States Championship as he faces his LWO stablemate in the finals. The US title invitational finals will take place this week featuring Rey Mysterio vs Santos Escobar. Rey Mysterio would look to add another title to his decorated legacy of WWE.
