The Drip God Seth Rollins named several opponents he wants to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against. He has also successfully retained his World Title against a lot of wrestlers since his title win. Surprisingly, Seth Rollins now wants to defend his title against Cody Rhodes.
Seth Rollins has been on a roll since winning the World Heavyweight Championship asserting his dominance. He has been very well over with the crowd and it’s obvious that the crowd loves him as much as they love his theme song. With his recent title defense against Finn Balor at Money in the Bank, he is all locked and loaded for SummerSlam. With many speculations going around, Rollins himself expressed his desire to face some opponents during his title reign.
Seth Rollins was interviewed by USA Today recently, stating that there are various superstars against whom he wants to defend his title. Rollins further stated that RAW is filled with talent. He named Drew McIntyre, Riddle, and Kevin Owens among the superstars he would love to defend his title. The World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins further loved the idea and wants to defend the title against Cody Rhodes. Seth stated that he would love to face Cody Rhodes anytime soon.
“I would love for Cody Rhodes come try to take it from me. If he can survive Brock Lesnar, I would love for him to try to. I’m better than ever; he doesn’t stand a chance.”
Will Cody Rhodes face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship?
One of the most talked about rivalries last year was undoubtedly Seth Rollins against Cody Rhodes. They both had a trilogy of matches showcasing intense storylines along with exceptional performances. Though Rollins would love to face Cody for the World Heavyweight Championship, Rhodes had a different take.
Cody Rhodes revealed that winning the World Heavyweight Championship will not finish his story. Cody might face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed World Championship next year at WrestleMania 40 instead.
