Since returning to the big leagues, The American Nightmare has had quite his run till now in WWE. With rivalries against the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar, Rhodes is proving to be a hit for WWE. Along with his persona and mic skills, his theme song is also doing wonders and is very well over with the crowd. The reception Cody is getting each week shows how much of a star he is.
The demand for Cody Rhodes is very well evident with his merchandise sales as well as crowd reactions. WWE is looking to capitalize on Cody as they will be having Rhodes for an upcoming NXT event. The NXT Great American Bash will be the next mega event for NXT. While the show itself is having a stacked card up to now, Cody Rhodes will be a part of it. During a recent interview, Rhodes stated how he will be a part of NXT Great American Bash and will be doing a voiceover for the event.
“I’m gonna do something for NXT Great American Bash here. I think maybe it’s just a voiceover but, getting ready to do that.”
Great American Bash will also see another main-roster superstar in Dominik Mysterio. Dominik will be defending his North American Championship against Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali at Great American Bash.
Cody Rhodes was surprised by the reaction to his WrestleMania loss
WrestleMania 39 saw The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes battling against The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. The build-up to the match was so promising that fans wanted Cody to finally finish his story and win the match. Cody eventually lost, while many thought he would be the perfect guy to dethrone Roman.
During a recent interview, Rhodes revealed how affected he was seeing the crowd’s reactions. He further added that he wasn’t active on the internet as well after his shocking defeat.
“Whether you look at what we do as from an entertainment standpoint or true sport, however you do, it was a huge loss.That was a big thing for me.“
