This Money in the Bank pay-per-view at O2 London, England saw some of the most thrilling and exciting moments in the history of professional wrestling. Roman got pinned for the first time after 3.5 years by Jey Uso in the main event. Drew McIntyre returned after a hiatus of 2 months. John Cena made an epic appearance. But one match that made fans talk was the Women’s Money in The Bank Ladder match. This match saw IYO SKY create history by defeating five other women wrestlers to win the Briefcase.
The O2 stadium in London saw 6 women fighting amongst each other for the Money in The Bank Contract. The ladder match included the likes of Bayley, IYO SKY, Trish Stratus, Zelina Vega, Becky Lynch, and Zoey Stark. This match had all the necessary elements to surpass the previous Women’s Money in The Bank Ladder matches. It had a ton of star power with the likes of Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and Bayley. It also had a mix of powerhouses like Zoey Stark and the High Flyers like IYO SKY and Zelina Vega.
The match saw some very brutal moments. We got to see some very heart-wrenching moments be it the sunset powerbomb on the ladder or the Moonsault from the top of the Ladder. It was a very fast-paced back-and-forth matchup. It also had a shocking moment when Bayley betrayed her partner IYO by pushing her off the Ladder. The end of the Match however came when IYO handcuffed Lynch and Bayley to the Ladder and went on to climb over the ladder and win the briefcase.
SKY won the Contract which gives her the opportunity to get a title shot anywhere and anytime she wants. IYO has also created history by becoming the second-ever Japanese woman to win the Briefcase.
The last time a Japanese woman grabbed the briefcase was in 2020 when Asuka won the Money in the Bank Ladder match. However, Asuka got lucky and was rewarded with the WWE RAW Women’s Championship Belt inside the briefcase instead of a match contract.
What’s next for IYO and Damage Control?
As mentioned IYO won the MITB contract at the Money in The Bank pay-per-view at O2 Stadium in London. But now the question remains what’s next for IYO Sky and Damage Control? Well, the disintegration of the Damage Control faction is imminent but might not happen right after the Money in The Bank pay-per-view.

If WWE had to turn IYO babyface they would have done in the pay-per-view itself. But there was no direct one-on-one altercation between IYO and Bayley and no subsequent turn as such. So expect on this week of Friday Night SmackDown for Bayley to apologize for her mistake. And also expect IYO to forgive her.
But the tension between the two will rise in the coming weeks. Only for them to break up which will lead to a match at Summerslam. Bayley could also try sabotaging IYO’s cash in an attempt to get her revenge.
