Iyo Sky won this year’s Money in The Bank Ladder match in a very amazing fashion. She beat five other female wrestlers to climb up the ladder and acquire that briefcase. The MITB briefcase has a contract that guarantees a title shot whenever and wherever Iyo Sky wants. In the Backstage segment on RAW, Iyo Sky alerts Rhea Ripley by saying ‘See You Around’.
Money in The Bank has a lot of uniqueness and anticipation surrounding it. The sheer concept of cashing it in and getting a title opportunity makes it a bit too good to be a true scenario. But there have been some memorable cash-ins from the likes of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Dolph Ziggler. All of them had a very iconic cash-in and subsequent WWE title run.
Thus, WWE fans are always ablaze to look for wrestlers cashing it in and winning the title. This year’s Men’s Money in The Bank Winner is Damien Priest and Women’s Money in The Bank winner is Iyo Sky. Miss Money in The Bank Iyo Sky in a Backstage segment had an astounding interaction with the Women’s World Heavyweight Champion Rhea Ripley. Iyo Sky then went on to alerts Rhea Ripley and notably usher the words ‘See You Around’. This also hints that Iyo may cash in her contract on Rhea Ripley in the coming future. The feud between them would be stellar as they already had an altercation in NXT.
Another option for Iyo Sky is to cash in her contract with WWE Women’s Champion Asuka. This would be a dream match come true. Although both of them had fought before But it was always in a tag team. A singles one on one match would be a delight to the eyes to watch.
Iyo Sky makes another new record
Sky went on to become the second-ever Japanese woman to win the Money in The Bank Ladder match. Iyo Sky is the only Japanese woman after Asuka to hold the briefcase. But this is not the record that we are talking about here. This record is very well about the number of days a wrestler has held the briefcase.
To everyone’s surprise, just after holding the briefcase for more than a day, Sky has become the second-longest Women MITB holder in WWE history. Yes, You heard it right. Iyo has now become the second longest Women MITB holder after Carmella. All the other Women MITB holders which include Bayley, Alexa Bliss, and Nikki Cross have gone on to cash in on the same night.
Thus, by far Iyo has held the briefcase for more than 3 days which makes her a record maker. Women’s MITB has currently a hundred percent guarantee of successfully cashing in, which means all the women in the MITB history have won the WWE title with the contract. Thus it would interesting to watch if Sky could maintain the same.
