Roman Reigns would make his return to live WWE house shows as he puts his title on the line against Rey Mysterio. The event will take place at Arena CDMX in Mexico this weekend.
WWE recently announced that they will be touring Mexico for two days with some great matchups on both days. The Arena CDMX will be hosting the event with a capacity of almost 15,000 fans. Though the tickets sold out pretty quickly, there are still a few tickets left at the venue. The most highly anticipated match at the event is Roman Reigns facing Rey Mysterio for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
This isn’t the first time these two top-tier talents are gonna square off against each other. Both superstars have a huge rivalry between them which also concluded inside Hell in a Cell back in 2021. Roman even defended his title against Rey last month at a live event in Cincinnati which Rey lost, thanks to Dominik’s interference. It will be interesting to see how this match goes this time as the Mexican crowd will be having Rey’s back this weekend.
Other matches advertised for WWE Mexico Tour
Along with this mega title defense showdown, WWE has also advertised high-level matchups with the likes of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and more.
Asuka will be seen defending her Women’s championship in a fatal four-way match against Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Charlotte Flair.
Seth Rollins would look to continue his rivalry with Judgement Day as he faces Dominik Mysterio on both shows. The Drip God will look to defend the championship against Dom with Balor looking to punish him even more.
As for Cody Rhodes, he will be facing Damian Priest on both shows. It looks like Judgment would love to decimate Rhodes and Rollins en route to SummerSlam.
