Rollins called these ratings silly and indicated how Dave Meltzer hasn’t given good ratings to wrestlers like Kurt Angle. Angle faced the mighty Eugene at SummerSlam 2005 and defeated him easily under five minutes. The match itself portrayed Angle’s offensive fighting style and amazing heel work. Meltzer gave a 2-star rating to this bout and also predicted that Angle would go on for the world title, which became true. Angle talked about Meltzer’s ratings during his podcast recently. Kurt hilariously commented that Meltzer gave those ratings because of the intensity.
Angle further talked about how he unleashed his ruthless side on Eugene and showed him levels. Eugene and Kurt battled it out against one another at SummerSlam 2005. The story revolved around Kurt’s Olympic Gold Medal which was stolen by Eugene.
