Yes, you heard it Right. Another top main roster star is going to appear in NXT and it is none other than Ronda Rousey. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has plans to bring more main roster top stars to work in NXT to boost their ratings. Looking at the current trends and patterns, WWE is making a very wise move. A wise move to not only boost the ratings but also to establish NXT as another flagship show like RAW.
Triple H sees NXT as his own flagship show and tries to elevate the brand and its superstar to the highest. It’s during the Triple H regime when we got to see a lot of main roster wrestler crossing paths with the NXT. This is done to make the show credible and of course, boost up some ratings. Various main rosters stars like Seth Rollins, Dana Brooke, Baron Corbin, Mustafa Ali, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo are showing up in the Tuesday night developmental show for the same reason.
As per Dave Meltzer Reports, Ronda Rousey is going to join this list soon. The Baddest Woman on the planet is discussed as another top star to appear in NXT. But there is currently uncertainty about the storyline. As she could possibly challenge NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton for a match. Or else make an open challenge for the Women’s Unified Tag Team title alongside her teammate Shayna Baszle. The chances for the latter to take place are higher.
In short, Rollins appearance and the subsequent title defense drew a lot of numbers. And to continue that, expect WWE to bring more main roster Superstar to the Black and Gold developmental show.

In this Friday Night Smackdown, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler defeated the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions and unified the title. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn gave their best shot and had the upper hand over the match. But the team of Ronda and Shayna had the last laugh. As they both made their opponents submit to the devastating submission holds and won the match.
Talking to Busted Open Radio, Baszler talked about the pressure Ronda and Shayna have to grow through. She said that she wants to legitimize the Tag team Titles. And to do that they need to dominate the division. She also mentioned that if they win the title they would defend it in all three brands and make it relevant more than it ever was.
Looking at these comments, it validates that Ronda and Shayna are going to issue an open challenge for their unified tag team titles on NXT this week.
