When you ask who is dominating WWE right now, the answer for sure must be Roman Reigns. His stats are just out of the world, with every new day he is making new records. We already know that he is the first WWE superstar to hold both WWE Universal Title and WWE World Title, and over that, he is also a wrestler with the most title reigning streak. He is currently at 955 days and is still going strong.
He is also the first person to win his WrestleMania matches for 5 years straight, which means he hasn’t lost any WrestleMania match since WWE WrestleMania 34, 2018. These numbers are just crazy. The last time he lost was in WrestleMania 2018 against Brock Lesnar, but since then he remained the one who stood tall. In 2018 Reigns faced Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of the show. Despite a strong performance, Reigns was unsuccessful in his attempt to win the title.
In 2019 after winning his second battle against Leukemia, he returned to WrestleMania and defeated Drew McIntyre after hitting him with his finishing move, The Spear. In 2020, the match got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The match was set against Goldberg. But later that year in August, he won the WWE Universal title against Bray Wyatt.
At WrestleMania 37 in 2021, he defended his title against two of the best WWE superstars, one was newly returned and more aggressive The Edge and another was Danial Bryan in a triple threat match. The match was highly competitive, with all three men hitting each other with their signature moves. In the end, Reigns emerged victorious after pinning both Edge and Bryan to retain the title.
In 2022, he set a new record. At WrestleMania 38, Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar to claim both titles. He is still currently holding both titles. And in 2023, at WrestleMania 39, he again successfully defend his WWE Universal title against Cody Rhodes.
There is no denying that Roman Reigns is among the best in WWE and currently ruling the competition all by himself. His journey had many ups and down but right now, he is enjoying his prime years.
