WWE Superstar Edge is one of those players who left their wrestling careers due to serious injuries and came back from retirement after many years to continue their passions. But what is special about Edge is that he is still in his prime. He is literally 48 or 49 but plays like a top-level player. However, recently he said that at most he had left one year as an Elite player.
In 2011, Edge retired from WWE due to a serious neck injury he got from a match, but in 2011 he came back and in complete style, winning the Royal Rumble of that year. Even after that, he proved everyone wrong who said he is too old for this sport and performed like he is still in his prime age.
Recently at IMPAULSIVE, Edge said that he has at most one year of Elite Wrestling left in him and he would like to take care of other things in his life.
He said, “Now, I have two little girls that I have to spend the rest of my life taking care of. I have a wish list of things that are still to do, but it’s not long, and neither is the time. At most, I might have another year in me, to be able to do it at this level and still be able to do it at an elite level where I can still hang, where I have to get in with Austin Theory, who is 25 and wasn’t born when I had my first match in WWE.”
As he said, he didn’t want to continue for much longer and wanted to end it soon, at least till he played as a top player but after that, he will say goodbye to the ring forever.
Edge Since his return
Edge made a surprise comeback in the 2020 Royal Rumble which he even won but after that, his reigns continued, and won matches against players like Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, AJ Style, and Roman Reigns. Most Recently he defeated Finn Balor in a brutal match of Hell in a Cell.
