Carmelo Hayes, The NXT champion was all set to prove his worthiness by facing Baron Corbin, former United States championship. Recently, Carmelo Hayes is in a feud with Judgement Day, this is an interesting turn to the betterment of the story.
Thea Hail was all set to break Tiffany Straton and capture the NXT Women’s Championship. Will Hail be successful in dethroning Tiffany Straton and annexing the Championship?
Malik Blade and Edris Enofé aimed to dethrone Gallus as NXT tag team champions, hoping to pull off an upset. The question remained: would Tuesday be their night? Meanwhile, Nathan Frazer had promised his good friend, Dragon Lee, the first shot at his Heritage Cup. The competitive battle between allies was highly anticipated, leaving fans wondering who would emerge victorious. Additionally, the involvement of Noam Dar and Meta-Four added another layer of intrigue to the matches. It was a night that had the potential to change the course of the gold brand.
NXT Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Thea Hail
Duke Hudson, Drew Gulak, and Charlie Dempsey’s arguments caused a scene at ringside after a hard-fought battle. Tiffany Stratton took advantage of the distraction and rolled up Thea Hail to win the surprisingly tough fight. Gulak and Dempsey then attacked Hudson, but Andre Chase returned and saved the day for his team. The match between the two women was highly entertaining, with Hail proving herself as a formidable competitor.
Although she didn’t win, the match set up an exciting reunion for Chase U. The group is stronger with Chase leading them. Hopefully, Hudson and Chase can regain their position in tag team title contention, while Hail can continue to impress and earn a long-term push in NXT.
Result – Tiffany Stratton emerged victorious.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Gallus (c) vs. Edris Enofé and Malik Blade
Edris Enofé and Malik Blade dominated the battle against Mark Coffey and Wolfgang. However, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo intervened and eliminated Enofé, giving the titleholders the advantage. Despite some minor mistakes, both tag teams displayed strong chemistry, and it seemed like Enofé and Blade were on the verge of victory. Nevertheless, their loss was not unexpected. The ongoing feud between The Family and Gallus continues to be the focal point of the tag team division. As long as Tony D’Angelo remains incarcerated and Stacks’ intentions remain unclear, Gallus will continue to hold the championship title.
Result – Gallus emerged victorious

Intervention by Diamond Mine in Schism Family Meeting
Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler blamed Joe Gacy for holding them down instead of helping them rise. Diamond Mine announced a match between The Creed Brothers and The Dyad, with the losers having to leave NXT. The Dyad’s contracts with WWE will expire on October 14, making next week’s match likely their final one for the company. The Creed Brothers and The Dyad have great chemistry and their match is expected to be a standout. This match will also provide an opportunity for Schism to grow. While Gacy and Ava work well together, Schism needs more members to be a true threat. Hopefully, NXT has a plan to bring in new talent for Schism.

NXT Heritage Cup: Axiom vs. Nathan Frazer (c)
Nathan Frazer secured the first pinfall with a sunset flip in the second round. In Round 4, Dragon claimed a definitive fall with the Dragon Bomb. The NXT Heritage Cup champion clinched victory in the fifth round with a last-second roll-up. Based on this first defense, Frazer promises to deliver captivating matches as the NXT Heritage Cup champion. It is refreshing to witness his consistent participation in lengthy matches.
The match between Frazer and Dragon was filled with pure energy from the start. They effectively portrayed the stipulation in a high-quality encounter that surpassed expectations for NXT TV. Despite the deciding falls being roll-ups and limited selling from both competitors, this match was exactly what Gold Rush needed. Fans should prioritize watching this particular match from the show.

Gigi Dolin vs. Kiana James
Kiana James became frustrated with Gigi Dolin’s resilience and attempted to hit her with a bag, but Dolin evaded and won with a crucifix bomb. James then attacked Dolin and poured paint on her. The story highlighted James’ inability to surpass Dolin and exposed the limitations of both women. Dolin needs to improve her speed and avoid telegraphing her moves.
James has made progress, but her move set is still unoriginal. While this match was an improvement for Dolin compared to her previous matches with Jacy Jayne, there is room for growth. As the rivalry continues, both wrestlers should spend time at the Performance Center to develop better chemistry.

NXT Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) (w/ Trick Williams) vs. Baron Corbin
Carmelo Hayes faced Baron Corbin in a match where he was often outmatched. However, Hayes capitalized on crucial moments, executing a DDT on the apron and then Nothing But Net in the ring to secure the victory. Corbin, after a series of uneven performances, delivered his best performance of 2023.
The match began as an athletic exchange but transformed into a David vs. Goliath battle, with Hayes strategically seeking opportunities against his larger opponent. Hayes’s victory over a main roster star highlights his talent and demonstrates his enduring worth. Corbin is expected to return to SmackDown, and it is hoped that he maintains his Lone Wolf edge, as his brief NXT run revitalized his threatening presence.
Result – Carmelo Hayes successfully retained his Championship
