Yet another night of action by WWE on Monday Night Raw. This RAW was the final episode of the program before the big night of WrestleMania 39 so obviously, we can expect some great matches from this night.
From Cody Rhodes tacking on Solo Sikoa before Roman Reigns at WrestleMania to The Miz hosting Lita, Trish Stratus, and Becky Lynch on Miz TV, there was a lot from the show. Here today, we’ll be summarizing the night in one place for you.
Miz Tv and Becky Lynch vs Iso Sky
As it was announced that The Miz is going to host WrestleMania 39, it was a great way to start the night with Miz kicking off the match between Lynch and Sky. The Miz invited Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and Lita to his show The Miz TV but soon it got interrupted by Damage CTRL.
The segment later converted into a fight between Becky Lynch and Iyo Sky. The match got a little interruption from the ringside members of Iso Sky but Lynch was able to grasp a win.
Mustafa Ali vs Seth Rollins
A backstage interaction led to a full-fledged match at RAW as Seth Rollins and Mustafa Ali had a brawl. At first, Ali played defensive and tried to avoid Seth as much as possible but it didn’t work for long. The match was short as Seth’s brutal stomp was enough for him to grab a win.
Omos and Brock Lesnar’s Meeting
Both the superstars were out for their first Weigh-in before the main fight at WrestleMania and there, The Beast attacked The Big Guy. Brock Lesnar’s attacks failed as Omos was able to defend himself by kicking the Beast out of the ring.
In the end, both superstars were just staring at each other and waiting for the night of WrestleMania. The segment was to increase the hype of the game between Omos and Lesnar as Lesnar’s match with Bray Wyatt got canceled.
Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green vs Mia Yim and Candice LeRae
Chelsea Green yet again got alone as Carmella is out because of her injury and Piper Niven didn’t want to do anything with her. But lucky for her, on the same night she found a new tag partner at Adam Pearce’s office and that is Sonya Devilla.
Now to prove her worth, Devilla was put into a match with Green against Mia Yim and Candice LeRae. This was again a short match as it didn’t take much longer for Green to hit Yim Unpritter to grab a win. This confirms that Sonya Devilla is now her tag team partner.
Ray Mysterio Vs Damian Priest
Ray Mysterio was up against Damian Priest before taking on his son at WrestleMania 39. His son Dominik Mysterio was also invited to watch his father getting against Priest but this was not that Ray Mysterio. Maybe his relationship with his son broke him from the inside.
The match went on, and Priest was first in control but Master of 619 made his way to deliver some powerful shots. Before Ray does something, the match got an instant disqualification because of Dominik’s involvement who attacked his own father.
Gunther vs Dolph Ziggler
A good and decent match from the night where Ziggler and Gunther came against each other. As soon as the bell rang, Ziggler dropped a powerful dropkick followed by a Jumping DDT but Gunter was not a quick quitter, he regained himself and started a comeback.
The Match went on till Gunther delivered a powerbomb followed by Last Symphony to pin down Ziggler and win the match.
Cody Rhodes Vs Solo Sikoa
Finally, Solo Sikoa’s wish was fulfilled as he got the match against Cody Rhodes. This was Rhodes’ last match before the main event of WrestleMania where he will be taking on Roman Reigns for the Universal Title.
The match was good, both superstars fought well. There was even a little interruption from The Uso, who tried to distract Rhodes but got out by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
So after dropping several signature moves, Cody Rhodes was finally able to pindown Sikoa to end his winning streak and showed the world that he is prepared for WrestleMania.
