The current WWE United States Champion Austin Theory is overconfident for the past few weeks, or we can say since Elimination Chamber, he is just getting lucky.
A few weeks ago in an Elimination Chamber match, Austin Theory retains his United States Title through a pinfall on Seth Rollins. He wasn’t supposed to win the match as he wasn’t near being the dominating one, he just got lucky. Well, after Seth stomped Ford, the victim got seriously injured. The injury was so serious that the medic had to involve. When the medic entered the chamber they left the gate open which gave Logan Paul an advantage to sneak in. Paul snuck inside Stomped Seth Rollins and knocked him out. That’s how Theory retains the title that night.
Later that night in a post-match conference, Theory put on an open challenge because he was overconfident. The Challenge was accepted by The Edge and their fight was set to happen on the main event of Monday Night Raw. So after retaining the title, the 25-year-old hot blood again enters the ring for the challenge.
The match between them was great, Edge was playing like he is in his prime not like 49 years old. Though Edge was dominating most part of the match but Theory also did really well but not enough to beat the legend. The twist came when Finn Balor came out of nowhere and kicked Edge in his face. Again Theory got lucky and took a win over him to retain his title once again.
Now Austin Theory is trying his luck again and this time against John Cena. In the latest episode of RAW Austin challenged John Cena as they are going to have a fight next week. He said, “You know what’s everybody is taking about? John Cena and Cena will come next week and that’s what he is gonna do. But you see the thing is, they just like the Hustle, the Loyalty and the respect but look at me. My hustle at Eliminations chamber…. and Loyalty? There is ain’t nobody more loyal to this championship than me.
He continued by saying, “I’m hustling, i got the loyalty… but Respect? I got a lot of respect for John Cena and next week in Boston, in his hometown, I’m gonna look him in the face and I’ll all the respect he deserves. Only thing i asked is he give me the same treatment.”
