Trish Stratus who recently competed in her first Wrestlemania at Wrestlemania 39, revealed that during that match she partially her tore a hamstring. For the match, she teamed up with Becky Lynch and Lita to fight against Damage CTRL.
Trish Stratus, a WWE Hall of Famer recently got the opportunity to have her first Wrestlemania after she got involved in the brawl between Becky Lynch and Bayley in an episode of RAW earlier this year. Bayley and Becky Lynch were up against each other in a Steel Cage match. After Bayley’s team Damage CTRL interrupted the match, Lita and Stratus came in for her rescue.
After that WWE set up a tag team match of them (that means Lita, Becky Lynch, and Trish Stratus) against Damage CTRL. Now in an interview at Busted Open Radio, Trish revealed that before that match she tore her hamstring but didn’t tell anyone about that. She said, “I had a few obstacles. I had a partially torn hamstring, by the way. Nobody knew about that”. According to her, she didn’t want anything to come in the way of her and her first WrestleMania appearance.
She further said in that interview, “It was just like, WrestleMania, let’s just go… This time, I had this injury, so I was a little unsure going in, but man, there’s something about feeling at home. It’s like riding a bike, as you guys know when we get back in there, your body’s like, ‘I got this, just do your thing,’ and it just flows.”
Her feeling for WrestleMania was too strong to back off from the game of her lifetime. Though she was a little unsure but at last she came after leaving every uncertainty behind and her decision turned out to be the best decision of her life. That night, along with Becky Lynch and Lita, she defeated Damage CTRL and named herself her first WrestleMania win.
Even though she was injured her performance was phenomenal in that match and many wrestling Journalists like Ariel Helwani appreciated her performance after that match.
