The World Title is one of the most prestigious titles in the history of WWE. It was considered the highest award a wrestler could get. However, in 2016 when the Universal title was introduced and become the most valuable title in the company, the World title (Who’s name got changed from World Heavyweight Championship to World Championship) became the second most valuable belt in the hierarchy of WWE golds.
Recently, CCO (Chief Content Officer) Triple H introduced a new design of the belt. The video in which he was introducing the belt reached a million views on YouTube. Also, the video even got 400K likes which clearly shows that fans are loving these new designs. Former WWE superstar and current CCO updated this good news to fans and thanked them for their love and support.
Currently, Superstar Roman Reigns is the WWE Word Champion who won it from The Beast Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 2022 and he is still holding the time, and it’s like more than a year now. He is also the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for a record-breaking 900+ days. It’s his 4th reign as the World Champion.
WWE World Championship
The WWE World Championship has a rich and storied history dating back to 1963 when Buddy Rogers became the inaugural champion. The title was originally known as the WWWF World Heavyweight Championship, and it was defended primarily in the northeast United States.
Over the years, the title has been held by some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Roman Reigns, and John Cena.
In 2016, the belt was briefly split into two separate championships, the WWE Championship, and the Universal Championship. The titles were later unified, and the Universal Championship became the top title on the main roster. Nevertheless, for WWE superstars this is still a belt they dreamt to win once in their careers.
