The whole WWE universe went into a sudden shock when they saw Vince McMahon announcing his retirement from the promotion he built. It was something that always looked impossible, but that happened. After his departure, Triple H got into major roles such as the head of creative and talent acquisition. Since getting authority, Hunter has made numerous changes and has saved many dying careers. Consequently, let’s take a look at the superstars whose career has been saved by Triple H.
Top 10 WWE Superstars whose careers have been saved by Triple H
10. Hit Row
Can’t say anything about Hit Row exactly. The whole faction was released by WWE a couple of years ago. Because of that, Swerve Strickland joined AEW. However, Triple H thought that Top Dolla and Ashante Adonis should get a second chance. But since their return, their performance has been lacklustre.
9. Dexter Lumis
It’s fair to say that Dexter Lumis is not a brilliant in-ring star but his character work has always been amazing. He’s currently displaying a unique and lunatic character. His feud with the Miz started great but then things became quite lethargic. However, he’s currently with Johnny Gargano.
8. Karrion Kross
Karrion Kross made his debut under Vince McMahon but the former CEO changed Kross’ whole gimmick and also scrapped Scarlett from him. The gimmick was an absolute disaster, and then he was released. But Hunter brought him back and gave him creative freedom. However, it looks like Triple H hired Karrion Kross but now, they are a bit confused about what to do with him.
7. Nikki Cross
Her previous gimmick of Nikki A.S.H was surely good but it technically lost its relevance in 2022. Because she was acting as a heel under the tagline of ‘almost a superhero’. She had a remote World title reign with the gimmick and she also won the 24/7 Championship 10 times, but that didn’t actually matter. However, she’s finally back to her old gimmick of Nikki Cross and that has surely benefitted him.
6. Butch
Formerly known as Pete Dunne, he got renamed as Butch after making his debut in the main roster. Butch also became a crucial part of the Brawling Brutes but under Vince McMahon, he majorly was a side character. But under Triple H, Pete Dunne finally got to brawl in the ring.
5. Dakota Kai
Dakota Kai was Triple H’s first re-hiring after getting authority. After joining WWE again, she became a part of the women’s heel stable Damage CTRL alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky. Since then, she had became a regular competitor in the tag division with her partner Iyo Sky.
4. Baron Corbin
It personally feels bad to see Baron Corbin being treated like this. After all, he’s an all-around decent superstar with a credible finisher. But Happy Corbin was simply the worst finisher ever given to him. He was suffering a get a single win in the promotion and he was “Happy Corbin”, which was ironic. However, Triple H has helped him by adding John Bradshaw Layfield alongside him.
3. Austin Theory
Vince McMahon was a huge admirer of Austin Theory. Chances after chances were given to the United States champion. With the help of Mr McMahon, Theory even managed to capture the Money in the Bank opportunity. However, the former CEO’s sudden departure left everyone bewildered. In his initial days under Triple H, Theory saw the worst. He even literally failed in cashing the MITB on United States Championship. Consequently, he’s currently the United States Champion.
2. LA Knight
Maximum Male Models was simply the worst gimmick that WWE can think of. It was just too cringe and can cause the eyes to hurt. Debuting in the main roster as Max Dupri, it was just miserable. But Max Dupri was lucky enough to get a decent character change in time. After becoming LA Knight, he found himself feuding against Bray Wyatt.
1. Gunthar
A few reports have stated, Vince McMahon was looking forward to sending Gunthar back to NXT after making him lose the title. But fortunately, nothing like that happened because Mr McMahon, himself left the company. The Ring Commissioner is still the Intercontinental Champion and he also made a new record in the Royal Rumble. Gunthar also currently has the chance of challenging for the world title.
