Bill Goldberg’s pro wrestling career was full of several ups and downs. He had numerous great matches but he also injured a number of supersters. He grew to prominence during his time in WWE.
Goldberg was a major attraction for the audience during his time at WCW because of his massive power and strong build. He also has a unbreakable record of 173 wins in a row. He started his unbeaten run by defeating Hugh Morris. However, his win against Morris came as a surprise because he wasn’t established during the time.
But his illustrious career is not coming to an end due to his growing age. He’s currently 56 but he has been active in pro wrestling with limited appearances. However, Goldberg facing the Undertaker in 2019 Super Showdown pay-per-view was an absolute disaster and that also affected his career in a wrong sense.
Anyways, the last time when we saw him in the ring was at last year’s Elimination Chamber. The premium pay-per-view took place in Saudi Arabia, where Roman Reigns defeated Goldberg for the Universal Championship.
Moreover, the former face of WCW thinks that WWE owes him a retirement match. He didn’t actually specify a lot of things but he did mention “deal with the devil”. According to reports, the former WWE champion’s contract was about to expire at the end of 2022 and there were no speculations following the extension.
What did Goldberg really say about his retirement and final match?
“You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one. That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match.”
The former WCW Champion avoided making comments about anything directly. But WWE will surely be cautious before giving him a match for the final time. Because things can surely be disastrous if not taken seriously.
Goldberg said “At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I’ve got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel. So never say never.”
