10. The Undertaker’s chokeslam to Hulk Hogan
The Undertaker locked horns against Hulk Hogan for the Undisputed WWE Championship on Judgement Day 2002. The undisputed WWE champion, Hulk Hogan was 48 years old at the time. And because of his age, he wasn’t able to jump enough. Hence, the Undertaker wasn’t about to give a proper chokeslam to him. After making a few failed attempts, the Deadman finally lightly thudded Hogan down.
9. Spike Dudley Missing The Table
The Dudley Boyz were famous in the attitude era for their daredevil mentality. However, Spike Dudley once botched a major double powerbomb from the inside of the ring all the way to the outside. There was a table waiting for him outside the ring but he missed that by falling straight to the ground. Fortunately, he didn’t suffer any major injury.
8. Goldberg almost breaks the Undertaker’s neck
Goldberg has always been a dangerous wrestler to be in the ring with. Of course, he’s really strong but on the same page, he was botched while fighting a number of times. Years ago, he ended Bret Hart’s career and in 2018, he dropped the Deadman on his head. The Undertaker vs Goldberg was a dream match was many but when they met in Saudi Arabia, it became an absolute horror show.
7. Titus O’Neil’s Royal Slide
When you think about this botch made by Titus O’Neil, you can’t stop laughing. His infamous slip came in Saudi Arabia at the Largest Royal Rumble in the history of the promotion. Titus O’Neil came running with full confidence but after tripping on the ramp, he found himself behind the ring curtain. The video and the moment will surely go unforgettable in the minds of fans for numerous coming years.
6. Vickie Guerrero missing the cue
In SummerSlam 2005, Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero were fighting for the custody of Dominik Mysterio. Interestingly, during the match, Vickie Guerrero was to come and stop his husband from winning the match but pushing his ladder but she missed her cue. As a result of that, the Latino Heat had to hang off of the title belt for an absurd amount of time. Don’t worry, he did fall from there after some time.
5. Brock Lesnar’s Shooting Star Press
This was is seriously horrible. High-flying superstars such as Rey Mysterio, Ricochet and more are brilliant at performing moves from the top rope. However, a high-flying move from a powerhouse such as Brock Lesnar is never a good idea. But in the main event of WrestleMania, the Beast Incarnate went for Shooting Star Press on Kurt Angle and Injured himself by falling face-first on Angle’s hand. Brock Lesnar has also admitted that he regrets making the move to this day.
4. Royal Rumble 2005
Royal Rumble 2005 was just brilliant, especially because of the major botch in the end. The Royal Rumble match has always been a fan-favourite match. It’s famous for returns, major pushes, heroic performances and more. However, in 2005, John Cena and Batista were the two remaining in the match. Following a fight, both superstars got out of the ring at the very same time. And, we got two winners in the match.
3. Vince McMahon Cuts Angry Promo With Torn Quads
The botch of Royal Rumble 2005 didn’t end here, it also includes Vince McMahon. After John Cena and Batista landed out of the ring at the same time, former WWE CEO Vince McMahon came into the ring fuming. And just when he entered the ring, he tore both of his quads. Following that, he was unable to move in the ring. Interestingly, even after everything that happened, Mr McMahon still tried to restart the match.
2. John Cena’s Broken Nose
Back in 2015, Seth Rollins was getting a huge push from the authority as he was in a feud with John Cena. Both individuals were battling their way out on Monday night RAW. But suddenly, John Cena broke his nose because of Seth Rollins’ knee thrashing his face. The match wasn’t planned to be like this, consequently, it’s seen as a major botch for WWE.
1. Stone Cold Steve Austin’s broken neck
The Texas Rattlesnake was battling against Owen Hart at the SummerSlam 1997 when this happened. Stone Cold Steve Austin was on the top of the promotion, in simple words, he was the face of the company. However, it hyped match took a highly unfortunate turn. Owen Hart’s disastrous Piledriver broke the Texas Rattlesnake’s neck. The move was later banned by WWE but it affected the whole career of Steve Austin.
