Teddy Long as we all know is popular for working as a referee and a general manager during the Attitude Era. A lot of fans associate the person with the best managers in the history of WWE. Now Teddy Long in a recent interview with Wrestling Shoots Interviews went on to share an interesting incident where he and the Viper Randy Orton got high and were confronted by Vince McMahon.
Teddy Long is mostly identified as a comic relief character in his early days. His accent combined with his comic timing made him a great addition to the already-stacked WWE roster. He also managed to become the general manager of SmackDown and massively got over with the crowd. He still is accounted to be the very best general manager in the history of WWE.
Now Teddy Long in a recent interview with Wrestling Shoot Interviews shared a fascinating incident when he smoked weed with none other than Apex Predator himself Randy Orton. Teddy mentioned that he and Orton smoked weed on a bus and that they were as high as anything. He also said that they were so high due to the drugs that were completely unaware of their surroundings. Teddy mentioned that they were supposed to be in a dark match and that they rushed to the match quickly.

Teddy added that he was supposed to announce Orton’s name for the match but went too far while announcing his name. Teddy said, “We were in St. Louis, his hometown. I’m so high, I’m going, ‘He’s The Viper, he’s The Legend Killer, he’s your hometown boy.’ So I’m just going crazy”

Teddy then said that Vince was too furious about his mishap. He added that Vince was waiting for him in the Guerilla. Teddy said, “By the time I’m going through Gorilla and Vince is standing up. He’s waiting on me, and he’s telling me, ‘Come here.’ I walked over there, and I knew I was in trouble. He says to me, ‘You in business for yourself out there?’ I said, ‘No.’ He says, ‘Goddamn it, they know he’s the Legend Killer. It’s his hometown. They know he’s The Viper.”
Teddy then added that Vince asked him why would he do that in front of Randy’s own hometown and crowd. To which Teddy added that he told Vince that it was his mistake and that he would never do that again. Teddy Long noted that it was the only time that he had a so-called altercation with the Boss Vince McMahon.
