CM Punk has always been the favourite child of controversy. During his time in WWE, he was always a centre of attraction. From leading Nexus to combating the company’s face, he did everything in style. However, following a series of unfortunate events and arguments with Vince McMahon, the Chicago boy left the promotion.
He later got started with his MMA career. Several promos and advertisements were displayed by UFC in order to properly hype up CM Punk’s debut in MMA. But things didn’t go as Punk thought. Losses shortened his mixed martial arts career.
Following that, he joined WWE’s competitor, Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling. He instantly got his hands on the title in the new promotion. Professional wrestling fans loved watching him back in the squared circle, and the supporters adored him.
But the Chicago boy’s hunt for controversy ended quite soon when he thrashed AEW sitting alongside Tony Khan in a post-event press conference. That stunned all the AEW fans. However, after Triple H took over WWE as the Chief Creative Director, his return to the company for nine years looked possible.
What did Seth Rollins say about CM Punk?
Amid the talks of CM Punk returning to the biggest pro wrestling promotion, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins has made his say clear. The former Shield member regarded the former WWE Champion as a “Cancer” as well as a jerk.
Rollins told Nick Hausman of WrestlingInc. “Oh Philly Phil, stay away. Stay away, you cancer. Get away from me forever. I don’t like Phil, he’s a jerk. Did we just figure that out, did we just figure that out? He’s a jerk…we figured it out over there, we knew it over here. I don’t want him back. Go do something else. Bye bye, see ya later.“
It’s still unknown if it was planned or if Seth Rollins really feels this way about CM Punk. Anyways, the Visionary managed to catch the attention of everyone in the room after his remarks about the former WWE superstar.
