A bombshell has been dropped about Roman Reigns’s possible WrestleMania opponent in a recent report. The recent report stated that we can see someone else instead of The Rock or Cody Rhodes battling against the Tribal Chief at Hollywood later this year.
Royal Rumble is just a few days away and the winner of the 30-men Rumble match will lock horns against Roman Reigns at the grandest stage of all, WrestleMania. Reportedly, it was said that either the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes or the People’s Champion, The Rock will dethrone the Tribal Chief in Hollywood.
But to everyone’s surprise, the names of Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre have emerged as Roman’s WrestleMania opponents. Earlier, it was predicted that Sami Zayn will turn his back on the Bloodline. And following that, he’ll face the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at the Elimination Chamber.
But Sami Zayn was saved with the help of Jey Uso in the Tribal Court. But as it currently stands from the side of WWE, the face of Zayn is not really “marketable” to casual fans. However, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins stand a better chance to lock horns against the Tribal Chief.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ‘‘Seth Rollins, who has teased a match with Reigns here and there, and perhaps Drew McIntyre could be dark horses in the sense the company could see them as more real-world champions than they may ever see in Zayn.”
Roman Reigns’ past Rivalry with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins
Drew McIntyre as well as Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins have a long history against the Tribal Chief. Talking about the Scottish Psychopath, McIntyre and Roman Reigns have found each other in the ring numerous times. But, Drew McIntyre has always failed to win against the former Shield member.
However, he came really close to defeating the Tribal Chief at the Clash at the Castle in front of his home crowd but with the help of interference from Bloodline member Solo Sikoa, he failed in his endeavours.
While if we talk about the Visionary, he has always given his everything to WWE. He has performed with a high work rate at the promotion, but Seth Rollins has never headlined WrestleMania. Anyways, it will be really interesting to see who gets to face the Tribal Chief.
