Since Vince McMahon sold his company (WWE) to Endeavor which is also the parent company of another fighting franchise UFC, there has been a lot of budget cutting from the WWE. Due to this WWE released some of their talents from the junior division and on the other hand, they are refusing requests from their superstar who wanted to leave the company. Recently WWE superstar Rip Fowler tweeted that she request WWE to release them from the company but they refused and extended the date till October 15th of 2023.
The 30-year-old star along with Jagger Reid, the two of them appealed to the WWE to release them but the WWE who’s got a history of doing things against their stars will refuse them, and tell them to wait till their contract expire which is expiring on October 15th of this year.
To this Rip Fowler tweeted and thanked fans for their love and support and for the time which he enjoyed a lot. He said, “Today WWE has denied our release, which was requested on April 3rd. On 15th Oct ’23, we will be free agents again. I personally want to thank all of our fans for your continued support, it means a lot to both of us, especially during times like these! We’ll see you on the 16th!”
This is not the first time and will not be the last, till someone does something.
Jagger Reid AKA James Drake also commented on this, he also thanked the fans for their love and support and he is going to say goodbye to the company on 14th October of this year. He also said that he is now a free agent and is looking forward to starting a new chapter of his life.
The Tweet Has Been Taken Down
The Original Tweets from the players now has been taken down, but the reason is not clear. The tweets got deleted by them soon after the news of their departure from the company goes viral.
Rip Fowler and his partner Jagger Reid goes public after being refused to leave the company before the contract ended didn’t liked by WWE. I guess that tweet might have created an outrage, that may have offended the company’s reputation that’s why they forced them to delete the tweet.
In 2018, Gibson was one of the inaugural NXT UK signings and has since become a prominent figure on the brand. He has held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship twice, first with James Drake as part of the team “Grizzled Young Veterans,” and later with Marcel Barthel as part of the team “Imperium.”
