Yet another WWE episode with a significant surprise as Rick Boogs returned to WWE after a 9 months hiatus. Rick Boogs suffered from a torn quad tendon in his left leg which made him unable to play any wrestling games.
On April 2nd, 2022, Boogs was having a SmackDown Tag Team Title match with Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 38, and in that match, he ended up injuring his left leg. The 35-year-old Wrestler was seen brutally suffering from the pain of that injury. Rick Boogs underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.
A long before that Boogs suffered multiple leg injuries, in 2017, and in 2019 but this one looked serious, fans thought he has gone for a long time, at least for a year but he proved everyone wrong by making a comeback in just 9 months.
Last night at Monday Night Raw, Adam Pearce introduced Boogs as a surprise opponent for The Miz who was in the ring dressed in a suit and tie.
Rick Boogs, who somehow looked more fit and ripped, even after a long break of 9 months, took up a fight with The Miz, which he won in just under 2 minutes with a powerful on the ground.
A win with a gorilla slam really heated up the environment of the Arena and for which he was warmly appreciated by the fans. His return is overjoyed online too as everybody is talking about his amazing physical strength.
Fans’ Reaction to Rick Boogs’ return
As you can see by yourself he is getting a rockstar welcome from fans. We are really excited to see what is WWE going to do with him next. Hope for a better storyline.
As this user suggests, it is possible to see Shinsuke Nakamura but as of now, there is no official update on him.
Let’s just hope not it for now.
Well, yes, The Miz has been used like trash for quite a long time, it is just like what they are doing with Jack Swagger in AEW. Let’s just hope for a better outcome.
