The main event of WrestleMania was an absolute banger, though many fans think that was a disaster as Cody Rhodes should be the winner but that WWE, you never know. After the game, Paul Heyman gave an interview with Ariel Helwani in which he opens up about what he thinks of Cody Rhodes.
Last week on WrestleMania, Roman Reigns retained his title against Cody Rhodes via pinfall. Though Roman got some assistance from his team members the game was great. Even Rhodes did his best, he survived Roman finishing moves and even made a comeback a couple of times but that was not his night.
Earlier today, Roman’s manager and sidekick Paul Heyman gave an interview to Journalist Ariel Helwani in which he talks about how WrestleMania made Cody Rhodes a bigger star and that he should create a better story of his redemption if he wanted a championship.
He said, “That’s what you want, a challenger to come out a bigger star than he would have been. If he had won the championship because then where do you go from there? What’s the story to tell? Now you know the story, it’s Cody’s redemption. He’s coming back from what was just taken from him, from the defeat he suffered that he didn’t deserve to have inflicted upon him.“
He also mentioned how Cody came out as a bigger star after WrestleMania 39, he said, “The response tonight to Cody Rhodes, which was louder than the response last week to Cody Rhodes, which was a response more passionate tonight for Cody Rhodes, which was a response of an audience that believes in Cody Rhodes this week more than they did last week when they hung their hopes into dreams on him and he didn’t disappoint them, we disappointed them.“
In the last episode of the RAW, Cody Rhodes was betrayed by Brock Lesnar after they challenged Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa to a tag team match. When the match was about to start, Brock Lesnar hit Cody with 2 F5s in a row. Then keep on hitting him with every possible item, including steel chair, table, and even the stairs. Let’s see where this story would head.
