Ava Raine shortens her name on the website of WWE by cutting off her last name. Raine instantly got into the limelight of media and fans since day one of her debut on 25th October 2022 as she is the oldest daughter of Hollywood Superstar and WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’, Johnson. Ava Raine’s real name is Simone Johnson and she is just 21 years old. She however hasn’t played any games that are televised yet.
Ava signed the contract with WWE in February 2020, and her father, The Rock, sent this comment regarding the news. He wrote on her IG post, “Congrats to my #1 born, Simone Johnson, on officially signing her wrestling contract with WWE and NXT. And on her way to becoming the first-ever 4th generation WWE athlete.”
Now the news is coming that she had shortened her name by cutting off her surname on the official website of WWE.
So when she joined WWE, her name was Ava Raine but now just Ava is reflected on the website of WWE. However, the reason is not clear to anyone yet. Previously whenever something like that happens, Vince McMahon got blamed for the name-changing but as we all know neither Vince nor anyone from his family is part of NXT or WWE, maybe the reason must be something else that is just not out yet.
However, there are still some speculations that Vince is running the creative part of the company but no one can say for sure. The last time when he was in the headquarters was in July when he stepped down from his position. Since then there is no sign of him backstage.
But the bottom line is, there are still name-changing things still going on at WWE but it doesn’t seem to be any kind of serious issue.
