Former WWE superstar Sasha Banks who is now known as Mercedes Mone since her departure from World Wrestling Entertainment and joined Japanese wrestling. Now a report is going around that she is currently learning Japanese because she is planning to move to Japan permanently.
Currently assigned to NJPW wrestler Mercedes Mone is doing great in Japan. She has won many championships since her joining and currently is IWGP Women’s Champion. Recently at the pay-per-view of the STARDOM show she successfully defended her title against Hazuki & AZM.
Recently in an Instagram post, she told fans that she is definitely moving to Japan and in fact, she is learning the Japanese language from a langue school. In the caption of the post, she wrote “definitely moving full-time to Japan”.
Mone’s contract with New Japanese Pro Wrestling (NJPW) has expired after her last match in which she defended her title at STARDOM and she is hoping to extend the contract for at least a year. However, there is no report from NJPW renewing her contract. Still, if NJPW didn’t extend the date of her deal, the doors from WWE will always be open for her former champion.
