John Cena, a name that almost every wrestling fan knows, a name player regarded as the greatest wrestler in the history of the company, himself name the current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as GOAT. He said Roman Reigns belongs to the GOAT conversation. Well, it’s a pretty controversial statement there as since Roman acquired his heel character, he gained a lot of haters. Since then a lot of WWE fans started to hate him.
John Cena has been in this industry for more than 20 years. In 2001, John Cena signed his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. However, John Cena didn’t become the superstar instantly, it took a while for him to become the face of WWE and when I say the face of WWE, that is exactly what I mean.
He is the 16-time World champion and which is the highest by any player in the history of WWE. He was also 5 times United States Champion, 4 time Tag team Champion, 2 times Royal Rumble Winner, and one time Money in the Bank Winner. Now you must be thinking that Cena won every possible championship at WWE, well let me clear for it you, it’s not true. John Cena never won the Intercontinental Title in his whole career. Hard to believe, Right? Well after looking at his career, I don’t think it would make any negative impact on his glorified career.
And now a player like him is telling that Roman Reigns should be in The GOAT’s discussion. Well, Roman Reigns proved every time, whether his time in The Shield, that One vs All time, or his current Heel persona, he came out as a champion every time.
He is currently the longest reigning WWE Universal Champion being a champion for about 1000 days. He is a six-time World Champion, having held WWE World Championship 4 times and Universal Title 2 times.
According to stats and records, I think Roman Reigns made his place to find himself in the GOAT’s discussion. However, many might not agree with it but John Cena said it.
