Last month in Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens but that didn’t end just there. After the win, The Bloodline entered the ring and Roman ordered everyone to thrash Kevin Owens, so they did. Later Roman took the charge and start hitting Ownes with a steel chair. Roman aimed to hit KO’s neck but Sami Zayn came in the way and asked him to stop.
After a moment of shock and confusion, Roman dropped the plan and asked Zayn to hit Owens with the steel chair instead. Zayn tried to convince him but Roman was in no mood. Zayn took the chair and instead of hitting Kevin, he smack the chair on the back of Roman Reigns. The whole crowd was in a big shock.
Sikoa and Jimmy Uso started to hit Sami Zayn while Jey Uso was standing in the corner and when Roman asked what stopping him, Jey left the ring.
The next day at Raw, Roman was on the Ramp walk but got interrupted by Sami Zayn. Roman somehow survives the attack and rolls out of the ring for an escape. Jimmy Uso along with Sikoa then enters the ring and started hitting him with anger and frustration. There Zayn challenged the Big Dog for his Universal Title at Eliminations Chamber.
At Elimination Chamber Roman successfully retains his WWE universal title after delivering an awesome performance. Again Zayn faced a defeat as Roman Reigns is at the epitome of his career.
So now, in the previous episode of the RAW, Zayn calls Kevin Owens for help. KO and Zayn used to be friends but due to some issues that friendship turned into a hardcore rivalry. So, Zayn asked Owens for a little support to take down Roman Reigns but Owens is in no mood to form an alliance. He said, “If you need help taking down The Bloodline, ask your buddy Jey”.
He further stated, “I still mean everything I said back in November after Survivor Series. I told you I was done with you, and that stands today.” So KO made his position clear of not getting involved in this drama at all but can we see Jey partnering up with Sami Zayn in the future?
Baron Corbin’s intrusion
Zayn was returning but he got attacked by Baron Corbin out of nowhere. Zayn who was already having a bad day and was pissed off asked Adam Pearce to put him with Corbin for an official match.
After struggling to convince him at first, he got the match where one Helluva kick was enough for him to take a win over Corbin.
