WWE is one of the biggest Wrestling companies in the World. Apart from wrestling entertainment WWE is highly commercialized as well. It makes a normal Wrestler a superstar and we can just go a whole day writing the name of the stars who are now very famous and in fact are giants in Hollywood, for example, Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock.
So, it’s obvious WWE makes you famous and who in the world doesn’t want to be seen? Everyone loves fame at some point so, what about those players who are masked? They didn’t get recognized by their face best example is Ray Mysterio. Yes, we have seen his face or if you didn’t you can just Google it but this doesn’t make them recognizable like how we recognize Roman Reigns or John Cena.
So, at some point in their career, they just wanted to play without their masks. There are only 2 players on the main roster who are still masked, Rey Mysterio and Uncle Howdy and all the other wrestlers have been released by them over the years. Former WWE star Lince Dorado made a huge announcement on his various Social Media platforms of his decision of playing without his mask from now on and reveal his face.
He said, “I’ve contemplated this for a while now, possibly 5 years now. For almost 2 decades I have been someone I’m not. I have decided! This will be my last year masked. The question is will I lose it or say f**k it, this is the real me? he tweeted this on Twitter moments ago.
Has anyone done this before?
The answer is Yes, in 2003, Kane unmasked himself which gave a huge turn to that character. He debuted in 1997 as a half-brother of The Undertaker and got involved in the legendary siblings’ rivalry. At that time it was rumored that Kane wore a mask because Taker burned his face when they were younger (As a kid we all believed that). But his decision not to wear the mask gave a huge turn to the character, from a so-called monster to a more Humane one.
