Dominik Mysterio’s career took off on a rough path. He mostly works with his father, The incredible Rey Mysterio which made him a sidekick of his own father. His father’s legacy overshadows him all the time. Other than that, he was really not much of an entertainer and that is one of the most essential skills required to survive World Wrestling Entertainment. Most Wrestling critics declared him a flop and fans were thinking that he is not capable of this until everything changed. Here we will be looking at the incredible transformation of Dominik Mysterio.
The biggest problem for an athlete of a big star is that they either get under the pressure of constantly performing or either overshadows due to their parent’s image, in this case, Dominik Mysterio suffered from both.
In 2020 on his in-ring debut against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, he partnered up with his father Rey Mysterio, which is a good thing but in that match which was supposed to introduce Dom to the world, it was all Rey in the whole stadium and it’s nobody’s fault. Rey is a megastar but that’s how he kicked off his career. It remained until last September when he joined The Judgement Day.
September 5th, 2022 changed everything for Dominik which literally revived his career. On this day he joins forces with The Judgment Day after betraying his Father. With The Judgement Day, he acquires a heel character which helps him to save his career at WWE. At first, many of us thought that that wouldn’t work for him but since leaving his father, he got changed a lot.
He got matured and much more aware of what to do and when to do and that helped him to become one of the most entertaining heel characters in the company. Maybe his relationship with Rhea Ripley was one of those things that initiated him to take decisions by himself.
Recently his rivalry with Rey Mysterio played a vital role in those transformations as you can see a clear difference between the old Dom and this Dom which is more open and more entertaining on the mic. He is no shyer and fans think that he has a promising future ahead.
