During the grand WrestleMania 39 weekend, Cody Rhodes was for sure a fan favorite and the main attraction of the show as he topped all individual merchandise sales for the weekend.
While WrestleMania 39 proved to be a commercial success for WWE, it also was a grand party for the audience and fans all around the world as they were invested in each storyline and were looking forward to the main event which can be proved as The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes topped the individual merchandise sales during the weekend.
Cody made it to the main event of night two at the SoFi Stadium battling The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal heavyweight championship.
Cody won the 2023 Royal rumble match and started a redemption storyline which made him a babyface and hyped up the main event match like no other.
The Head of the table silenced Rhodes as he defeated the American Nightmare in the main event crushing the hopes of a new champion being crowned and many hated this decision as Cody was over among the fans and they wanted him to do the unthinkable and beat Reigns, but Cody failed in his attempt and lost at the grandest stage of them all.
This year’s WrestleMania main event attracted a lot of fans as Cody topped the merchandise sales this year which shows how much big of a babyface Cody is and how much fans are involved in the redemption story of Rhodes.
According to many reports, the generic themed WrestleMania was the top selling item but in individual merchandise sales, Cody has done it all by topping the sales and being the talk of the town.
Apart from Cody, Roman Reigns and the bloodline are supposedly the number 2 and number 3 in merchandise sales.
With the introduction of Brock Lesnar, things can be looking even tougher for Cody and the dream might fade away but it might pave way for a grand stand finish of the story in the near future.
