After last week’s brutal attack, every fan had the one question for Brock Lesnar: Why? It seems like Cody Rhodes had the same thing in his mind, as he addressed the vicious attack by The Beast on this week’s edition of RAW.
Last week did not go too well for Cody Rhodes. Not only did he lose the most important match of his career, but the night after WrestleMania, he got betrayed and brutalized by The Beast. Lesnar and Cody were supposed to face Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a tag match at the main event of the RAW after Mania. However, before the match even began, Brock Lesnar attacked Cody Rhodes, a move that surprised even The Head Of The Table. He then laid out all kinds of punishment on The American Nightmare, making sure he won’t be able to stand after the attack. This week however, Cody seems to make a comeback by declaring war against The Beast.
Cody Rhodes came out on RAW this week, looking to address the situation at hand. He firstly posed a question for The Beast, asking him for the reason behind his attack. He added that apparently, Lesnar was unhappy with his booking at The Show of Shows. Cody then called Brock Lesnar a predator, who considered the WWE Universe and even stars like The Rock, John Cena and The Undertaker as “victims”.
Cody said that if someone asks him whether he’s scared of Brock Lesnar, then he would reply honestly and say, “Yes, I’d be crazy not to be scared of Brock Lesnar”. Despite this, The American Nightmare declared that he would love to fight The Beast at the Backlash PPV.
He is looking to settle the score with Brock Lesnar and make sure that whenever The Beast looks in the mirror, all he would see would be a victim. As always Cody Rhodes delivered a brilliant promo, riling up the fans and building up to their eventual showdown.
Will Brock Lesnar accept Cody Rhodes’challenge?
As of now, it’s safe to say that The Beast will indeed, accept Cody’s challenge next week on RAW.
If their match does end up happening, it’ll probably headline Backlash. Since Roman Reigns won’t be available due to his busy schedule, it’s more likely that the main event card will be filled up by the showdown between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. If that’s going to end up happening, remains to be seen.
