Last week, Cody Rhodes created history by winning The WWE Royal Rumble after entering as a #30 participant. Now, this win of his made him eligible for the upcoming WrestleMania where he will be facing Roman Reigns for the WWE’s world title which he dreamt of for a very long.
Last night upon his win The American Nightmare was invited for an interview with The Bump, and the men’s Royal Rumble winner discussed a lot of topics, some related to him, some not but between this, he made a comment on NFL legend Tom Brady.
As we all know, Tom Brady has officially taken retirement as he is now 45. He shared an emotional video on his Instagram handle where he said,
“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first”. It won’t be long-winded. You only get one super-emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year“.
The Quarterback first announced his retirement last year but six weeks later he came out of his retirement by saying he had some unfinished business but fans are thinking this time he is gone for good after completing 23 seasons of the NFL.
What did Cody Rhodes say about Tom Brady?
WWE superstar Cody Rhodes wanted Brady to continue, and not in NFL but in WWE. He wanted Brady to make his wrestling career debut at the age of 45. He said, “I was very shocked to see that, not shocked as well because the time comes for us all, but still”
Rhodes further stated, “Tom Brady needs to maybe find his way to WrestleMania, maybe find his way anywhere WWE, Tom, live it up now. There might be a future here.”
So, 2023’s Men’s Royal Rumble winner Rhodes wanted the NFL GOAT Tom Brady to come and play at WrestleMania but we all know that never gonna happen,…. or maybe.
But what is for sure is that he will [Cody Rhodes] will be facing Roman Reigns in the upcoming WrestleMania.
