Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez successfully defended their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Bayley and Dakota Kai on the May 12th edition of SmackDown. However in that match, both Liv Morgan and Dakota Kai suffered serious injuries. They have been out of action since. And in the latest edition of RAW, Bayley decided to pay tribute to her injured stablemate.
According to recent updates, Morgan has suffered a torn rotator cuff and Kai has a torn ACL. However, Kai’s injury is a whole lot worse. It’s expected that she will miss out on several months of in-ring competition. After the news of the injury surfaced, fans have been sending their concern and prayers to the injured superstars. Along with the fans, Bayley decided to pay tribute to Dakota Kai in an unique fashion.
On this week’s episode of RAW, Bayley and Iyo Sky took part in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match for the Women’s Tag Team titles. Before the match started, Bayley did Dakota Kai’s signature gesture on one knee. Not only this, Bayley also posted a picture of herself wearing a chain having Dakota Kai’s initials. This beautiful gesture garnered a lot of attention on the Internet, which shows how much Bayley cares for her friends.
How did Dakota Kai and Liv Morgan get injured?
Dakota Kai and Liv Morgan suffered pretty serious injuries last month on SmackDown. According to reports, Kai has suffered a torn ACL while Morgan’s injury is believed to be a torn rotator cuff. The Damage CTRL member is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the year.
While there is no official confirmation on what caused these injuries, fans on Twitter have pointed out the possible reason. According to the fans, a botched top-rope spot led to the injuries. Apparently Morgan was already injured but a Powerbomb/Seated Senton combo led to further damage to both superstars. As a result of her injury, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez had to relinquish their championships.
