SmackDown delivers another episode full of action and fans have gone crazy with some things that happened. This SmackDown answered some of the questions that were left unexplained in the last week’s Royal Rumble.
Let’s have a look at the WWE SmackDown results and Highlights of the 3rd February 2023 episode.
Tag Team Contender Tournament Final
Braun Strowman and his tag partner Ricochet kicked off the night with a tag team tournament match against the Imperium. They fought to be the No. 1 contender for the undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
Tag Team tournaments are always exciting to watch and if it’s for the title belt it is just the cherry on top. So, the final was won by Braun Strowman and Ricochet.
Charlotte Flair and Soniya Deville for SmackDown Women’s title
Flair successfully won the match to retain her WWE Women’s champion title by submitting Soniya with a figure eight “Again”. As Deville knows that her character is a heel character she maintained that throughout the match. She was the dominating one in the match. But the match results fall in the favor of Flair as she countered a sunset flip into a figure eight, hence Deville tapped.
The Brawling Brutes vs. The Viking Raiders
Every episode got a few matches that are not that great or can say boring but apart from that if we talk about The Brawling Brutes vs. The Viking Raiders, The Viking Raiders sealed the victory. They delivered a Ragnarok to secure a win here but soon after the match ended, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre attacked them from behind and stood tall.
Shotzi vs. Zelina Vega vs. Natalya vs. Shayna Baszler for the Elimination Chamber Qualifiers
A fatal 4-way match was organized between Shotzi, Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Shayna Baszler and they were given an opportunity to seize a spot for a match for the title at WrestleMania. The winner will confirm a spot at Women’s Elimination Chamber.
Obviously, Baszler dominated the match, with her hard-hitting but the results were unexpected. Any of the women in that ring were a better option to be a winner but it was Natalya, The Queen of Hart secured her 5th spot for the Women’s Chamber.
Roman Reigns on The Bloodline
And the moment that everyone was eagerly waiting for. Roman Reigns The Undisputed Universal Champion made his entrance but got attacked by Sami Zayn who appeared out of nowhere. Zayn started punching him with frustration. Zayn was about to hit the steel chair on Roman but he rolls down the ring and somehow managed to escape.
Zayn quickly get on the mic and said, “I never wanted anything from you until now, but now I am coming for your undisputed Universal Title.
Soon, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa enter the ring and begin beating up on Zayn, but Roman intervenes and said, “I am going to give you what you want, You broke up my family and I’m gonna break you in front of your entire family.”
So, now Sami Zayn will be facing Roman Reigns for his WWE Universal Title at Elimination Chamber.
