Bill Goldberg is considered one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the WWE. He was not just among the best, he was also a fan favorite, a wrestler who engages the whole audience, and an entertainer through his insane performances and promos. But now his contract with WWE is expired and is not likely to continue with the company.
According to Fightful, WWE Superstar Goldberg is now a free agent as his contract with the WWE is now expired. The Hall of Famer returned to WWE in 2016 after coming out his retirement and even since he hasn’t been a part of any other label but now there is a high possibility to see him in a different company as the creative head of the company, Triple H, will not extend his contract.
So, as he now would say his final goodbye to WWE, will he continue in a different brand?
Goldberg joined WWE in 2003 and a few months into the game he becomes the WWE World Heavyweight Champion but after WrestleMania 20, he announced his retirement in 2004. Now in 2016, when Vince McMahon was the creative head of the company, he was able to convince him to make a comeback into the ring.
Goldberg’s Future
So in the Survival Series of 2016, Goldberg returned to WWE and stayed with them for the next 7 years. However, for that 7 years, he hardly came in for fights. Now as the contract with WWE expired, everyone is thinking that Goldberg might retire from wrestling. However, there is no official report on this situation.
WWE’s biggest competitor, Tony Khan’s AEW showed interest in signing the superstar for a handsome amount of money but The Hall of Famer is yet to comment on it.
Goldberg’s Past endeavors
As already mentioned in his first appearance in 2003 and his return in 2016, WWE Superstar Goldberg surprised everyone after his win over Brock Lesnar on his shocking return in 2016. He later became the WWE Universal Champion in 2017 after a great win over Kevin Owens but eventually lost it to Brock Lesnar in WrestleMania 33.
Goldberg had an amazing career with WWE, he won many titles and gained millions of fans. He is now even an inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame but it’s time for him to say goodbye to WWE.
