Another day we are here with the results of WWE NXT for 21st February 2023. Another action-packed night at WWE NXT with some good matches. However not every match was a great one but it was fun to watch these superstars battling for promotion. Let’s have a look at the matches from the night in a brief description.
Ilja Dragunov defeated Trick Williams
Williams struck early and with great confidence, but Dragunov matched him with his own aggressive approach. Both the superstars were trashing each other with pace and techniques but Dragunov was the one who grabs the win. However, we can say that this is the best match of Trick’s career so far. Maybe if there was a different wrestler the results would be different.
The Dyad defeated Chase U
Chase U with Thea Hail gets in a brawl with The Dyad, accompanied by Joe Gacy and Ava Raine. It was a great tag team match and especially to Chase U who found great chemistry with fellow tag partners.
Following the game, Hudson said to Chase that he should let Hail mature and then he left.
Jacy Jayne vs. Indi Hartwell
A match that starts with a slow pace. Not so much happened in the match at first, both the superstars fighting but were not much really of a showcase. However, there was a moment of heat when Jacy Jayne took over the match and everyone thought its a win for her but got interrupted by her rival Gigi Dolin who struck her from behind. Because of this, the match ended with instant disqualification.
Gallus defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofè
It is the most expected match of the night, Gallus destroyed Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. However, Blade and Enofe did a great job but I mean come on, they were no chance they can take a win over Gallus.
There was some hype for the two but it has been destroyed since Gallus ended with an amazing performance. Not really much happened in the match though.
Tony D’Angelo defeated Von Wagner
Tony D’Angelo proudly supported The Family as he defeated the enormous Von Wagner in a difficult matchup, flanked by The Underboss. Wagner showed an amazing set of skills, he did a great job on his own but his partner who came in with him failed to deliver a satisfying performance.
However, talking about the match overall, it was not that great. The start was good and fast but later on, it was dominated by Tony and his team.
Alba Fyre defeated Ivy Nile
An intense match between the two superstars and as many said, Alba Fyre finally got a worthy opponent. Nile hasn’t been given enough opportunity to compete against the best opponents and with that match, she was given that chance but failed to grasp a win however she was good throughout the match but ended the match as a loss. Fans are expecting both of them to have another match together next time.
NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker defeated Jindar Mahal
The match with the most expectations from the night as it was an NXT Championship match between two of the best Jinder Mahal (challenger) and Bron Breakker (champion). The match was played at a fast pace and ended sooner than was expected or can say our expectations from the match were too high that we thought it ended with not that much action.
Mahal came with a great game plan but Bron Breakker showed him who is the champion and how dangerous he can be. He retained his title via pinfall.
