WWE’s Royal Rumble is one of the most famous wrestling events and there is no second thought in that as it is also one of the biggest events for WWE. Maybe the biggest after WrestleMania. Even winning The Royal Rumble is a golden gate to WrestleMania’s main event.
So, if this event is so popular and so important then it is not an easy one. To win Royal Rumble you need strategies but sometimes luck too as you never know who’s next to join you in the ring.
Here, we are listing some of the most shocking and surprising entries in the Royal Rumble.
10) Mr. Perfect (2002)
Before being called Mr. Perfect, Hennig wrestled at WCW until 2000 but he shocked everyone in 2002 when he entered WWE Royal Rumble as Mr. Perfect. He lasted in the ring for over 15 minutes.
9) Rob Van Dam (2009)
Rob Van Dam who was a WWE World Champion once along with an ECW Championship got arrested for the possession of Illegal Drugs (Marijuana in particular) for which he even went to jail. Because of this, he lost both of his World titles and his wrestling career got finished. But in 2009, he surprised everyone with a shocking entry at WWE’s Royal Rumble.
8) HAKU (2001)
This might not be as surprising as the others on the list but Haku’s entry at Royal Rumble was a huge deal for that time. Haku was one of the biggest wrestlers at WCW and as we all know WCW is the top rival of WWE.
In 2001, Haku was just on a Pay-per-view contract with WCW which means he can work where ever he wants when he was not working with WCW and this gave him a golden opportunity to put his steps at WWE.
In 2001’s Royal Rumble, Haku came to WWE as the 29th contender.
7) Bad Bunny (2022)
As the 2022’s Rumble wasn’t much appreciated by fans but it got a little bit boosted up when Music Industry’s star, Bad Bunny enters the ring. It was so unexpected that the crowd at the arena couldn’t believe that it is true.

The 6 time World Champion, who left WWE in 2007 for TNA Impact Wrestling was one of the most shocking returns in WWE’s History. He and Kevin Nash was the biggest shock of that night.

Remember Cena’s Pectoral Injury which forced him to drop his WWE World Heavyweight Title? I am pretty sure you remember that as it was so heartbreaking, especially for John Cena’s fans.
But Cena returned to the ring after healing his injury in less than a year which shocked the whole world as no one would have thought that but Cena proved everyone wrong and participated in The Royal Rumble 2008.
