WWE NXT is just a few weeks away from NXT Stand & Deliver, so this week’s edition of the gold brand. Everyone was fighting for a chance to compete on WrestleMania weekend, but only a few could stand out.
We are covering the March 14th edition of WWE NXT, in case you missed it.
Johnny Gargano kicked off tonight’s show by making a promise to shut Grayson Waller up. He says that Weller ruined his last night on NXT and he is ready to take him down. However, the commentator Vic Joseph walked up to Johnny and showed him a live stream of Weller at Johnny’s house. Johnny raced out of the arena as soon as he saw this.
Gallus vs Pretty Deadly: WWE NXT Tag Team Championship match
This match was an excellent starter for the night. Both teams fought hard and showcased their excellent coordination. Wilson tried to win by hitting Coffey with the title while the ref was distracted, but Gallus overcame their cheap tactics and retained their championships.
In an update to Roxanne Perez’s medical condition, it was announced that a new women’s champ would be crowned on WWE NXT Stand & Deliver.
Zoey Stark vs Sol Ruca: Ladder Match Qualifier
As the match started, Stark seemed to be in control early on in the match and even got some big moves on Ruca. Ruca gave it her all in this match, but Zoey caught her off a springboard dive and hit her with the Go to Kneep to pick up the win.
The duo had improved in this bout from their last match. Ruca showcased great potential, but Zoey needed the title opportunity.
Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley vs Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn vs Katana Chance & Kayden Carter: WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Qualifier
The match started off with Chance, Paxley, and Dawn, and we saw some pin attempts early on in the match. In the middle of the match, Paxley turned on Nile while she was in trouble and asked Paxley for help. She was taken out before Paxley attacked her at ringside. Fyre came in and covered Nile for the win and secured the three-count. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn earned the opportunity for a match at Stand & Deliver.
Chaos unfolded at Wes Lee’s North American Championship Open Challenge
As Wes Lee was heading out to the ring, most of the locker room came out brawling. Lee joined in on the brawl. As a result of the chaos, the open challenge for the championship was canceled.
Apollo Crews vs Dabba-Kato
As Kato was making his way to the ring, he was attacked by Crews. The big man eventually took control and sent Crews into the ring. Apollo came out swinging, but Kato was just too much for him.
Crews did, however, showcased his insane strength once again, by lifting Kato in a big slam and hitting a frog splash for a near fall. He fought hard, but ultimately fell victim to Kato’s double chokeslam and was out for the three count.
Gigi Dolins vs Kiana James: Ladder Match Qualifier
This match wasn’t really much of a fight as it was clear who would win from the start. It wasn’t much interesting either and the fight felt heavily choreographed. Dolin hit James with a big suplex and picked up the quick victory.
Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes sign contract for title match for WWE NXT Stand & Deliver
Since no one was there to officiate their contract signing, Pretty Deadly showed up to officiate the signing. The duo cracked some jokes, saying that they both want to face Bron at their best someday, to prove their worth.
The signing ended with Pretty Deadly being sent through the table by Bron and Carmelo before NXT went off air. Stay tuned for next week’s edition of WWE NXT.
