Bray Wyatt has been absent from WWE TV for a long time. He even missed out on WrestleMania. Apparently, this was due to an injury that the superstar suffered some time back.
Night One of WWE’s Draft took place this week on Friday Night SmackDown, with several superstars being shuffled into different brands. It didn’t take long for fans to notice that Bray Wyatt’s name wasn’t on the list of superstars eligible for draft. Although one more night of the draft is still left, fans have assumed that Bray Wyatt will remain undrafted this year, which very well might be the case.
Bray Wyatt has been one of the top superstars of WWE ever since he became The Fiend. He would go on to have a pretty successful run, even becoming the Universal Champion at one point. However, Wyatt would suffer a hand injury last year in December in match against Jinder Mahal in a live event. This injury would put Wyatt out for sometime. He did return at some point, where he beat LA Knight at Royal Rumble. But that was it. Other than working a few other house shows, Wyatt has remained absent from WWE TV.
Fans had hoped that he would make a return at least before the draft. But after not seeing Wyatt’s name on the list, fans thought that The Eater of Worlds might have quietly left the company. Despite all the rumours, multiple resources have claimed that Bray Wyatt is still under WWE’s contract and would make a return as soon as he is medically cleared to wrestle again. It’s possible that due to his long absence, WWE has currently no plans scheduled for his return, including the draft.
Will Bray Wyatt return to WWE anytime soon?
While on the road to WrestleMania, fans hoped to see The Eater of Worlds at The Show of Shows. And Wyatt was actually supposed to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania. However, those plans were scrapped as well when it was reported that Bray Wyatt would not return anytime soon. This caused some speculation among fans, who thought he was done with WWE. However, that might not be the case.
According to Fightful Select, Wyatt was recovering from an illness at the time of WrestleMania. It’s still unclear as to when he will be on WWE TV again. But according to recent reports, Wyatt has been telling those close to him that he is excited to return to WWE whenever he is able to. So there might be a chance that we would get to see him back, probably this year itself.
