WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H is set to address the fans of the WWE Universe on tonight’s edition of SmackDown.
Recently, there has been a lot of controversy around WWE, especially the “retired” chairman, Vince McMahon. What’s even worse is that Vince is reportedly taking over the creative aspects of WWE from Triple H.
On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Triple H came out to the ring and addressed the WWE Universe, assuring them that WWE is going nowhere. This announcement was regarding the recent purchase of the company by UFC. The two companies merged into a single company, with it’s net worth to be estimated at around $21.4 billion. Fans were worried that this could cause a huge change in WWE. However, The Game gave the fans a ray of hope, assuring that the WWE that they love is going nowhere.
However, his words might not hold true because Vince McMahon, who famously resigned from his position in WWE last year, is back and seemingly taking over the creative aspects of WWE from Triple H.
Following his exit, Vince handed the reigns to his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan, who is currently the CEO of WWE. Triple H was made the Chief Content Officer of the company, and it proved to be a significant change. Fans and wrestlers alike felt that WWE under Triple H is far better than WWE under Vince McMahon. All that came crashing recently, as Vince McMahon returned to WWE this January. It was reported that he wasn’t going to be involved with the creative decisions, but this week’s RAW proved that Vince is back in charge.
Since then, reports have surfaced about the low morale at the workplace, with some performers even asking for their release. Apparently, things went back to exactly how it was before Triple H took over, and that is a huge mess. RAW after Mania usually delivers a good show, but this year’s RAW after Mania was pretty lackluster. Reports have also indicated that McMahon is taking charge of the shows again, replacing Triple H from the role. This and the recent controversies surrounding Vince McMahon made his return universally hated by the fans.
Will Triple H address the #FireVince tweets?
Following Vince McMahon’s return, fans all over social media have expressed their disapproval of his return. The hashtag #FireVince has echoed through Twitter.
However, is Triple H going to address the situation regarding the movement remains to be seen. It is unlikely for WWE to address issues like that on Live Television. His promo might just be another reassurance to fans about his position in the company.
The Game is looking to address the whole situation to fans on tonight’s SmackDown. Will Vince McMahon’s return ruin the WWE or will Triple H continue to be in charge of the shows? Find out on tonight’s SmackDown.
