It has been recently reported that WWE Hall of Famer and former SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long is set to make an appearance at this week’s Friday Night SmackDown for night one of the Draft.
Teddy Long has been with the company for a long time, serving as the General Manager for the blue brand for some time. After his run as the GM, Teddy Long made some sporadic appearances on the show. He was inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2017. Now it seems like the 75-year-old is returning to the blue brand itself.
It was recently reported by PWInsider Elite that the former SmackDown General Manager would make an appearance at Night one of the Draft on SmackDown this week. His role in the event is unknown. It’s also not clear as to how long he will stay for the event.
Knowing the character of Teddy Long, he will certainly be involved with the Draft in quite an interesting way. He could even announce the superstars to be drafted to the blue brand. But this is all but speculation at this point.
Teddy Long doubts Ronda Rousey has been worth WWE’s investment
In a recent interview, Hall of Famer Teddy Long shared his opinions on whether he thinks former UFC star, Ronda Rousey has been worth WWE’s investment.
When Ronda Rousey first joined WWE in 2018, she was certainly a main attraction. The Baddest Woman on the Planet decimated the entire roster after her debut. But the Hall of Famer Teddy Long isn’t quite sure if it was the right decision to sign Rousey to WWE. When asked about it, Teddy said the following:
“Well, I don’t know. I like her, I met her, she’s a real nice person,” Long said. “But she just doesn’t show that she has the interest in professional wrestling.”
Ronda Rousey was last seen at WrestleMania 39, where she won the Women’s Showcase match despite having a broken forearm. She hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since.
