San Juan hosted WWE Backlash earlier today which featured a series of match-ups. The Puerto Rican crowd was off the hook as they cheered their hearts out during the show. However, Rhea Ripley had some harsh words for the crowd whereas Seth Rollins highly appreciated the crowd.
WWE Backlash just ended and the main highlight of the show was the Puerto Rican crowd. Fans went nuts and thoroughly cheered for everyone and were highly involved. The fans were already hyped up for the event as seen during the Backlash Press conference before SmackDown.
With such a hyped-up crowd, Mami Rhea Ripley still wasn’t that much impressed. After her match with Zelina Vega, Rhea was asked about her match and the crowd’s reactions. SmackDown Women’s champion said she doesn’t care about the crowd just like she doesn’t care about Zelina. She was not impressed by the support they were giving to Vega. Further adding, she was satisfied to defeat Vega in front of all those people and was very happy with the outcome.
On the other hand, Seth Rollins was seemingly shocked upon seeing the crowd. Rollins was interviewed after his battle with The Giant Omos in which the crowd was behind Rollins during the whole match. Rollins was in absolute joy and truly amazed by the hostile crowd reception. He further stated that now he knows why people don’t wanna leave this place and expressed his joy.
SETH ROLLINS AND RHEA RIPLEY’S PERFORMANCES AT WWE BACKLASH
Seth Rollins had a tough task ahead of himself battling The Nigerian Giant Omos. As the match commenced, Rollins quickly showcased his agility and speed, trying to exploit Omos’ relative lack of mobility. He darted around the ring, executing lightning-fast strikes and aerial maneuvers to keep the giant off-balance. Rollins was determined to prove that technique and strategy could overcome raw power.
Seth ultimately defeated the Giant having good momentum to win the upcoming tournament for the World Heavyweight Championship. The tournament is set to end at Night of Champions later this May where Seth is expected to win the big gold.
Rhea Ripley defeated Zelina Vega continuing her dominant run as champ. The crowd was behind Zelina for the whole match cheering for her to win. Vega was seen getting emotional during the match seeing the support she got from the crowd. The crowd was chanting their hearts out during the whole show and made it even better.
