Roman Reigns accomplished a great milestone of not being pinned for over 1200 days. This historic record, combined with his 950+ days of being the Universal Champion is certainly two of The Tribal Chief’s best records in WWE.
The last time Roman Reigns was pinned was at the TLC pay-per-view by Baron Corbin. Although won through unfair means, Corbin was the last one to pin Reigns. Ever since then, Reigns has not been pinned once. The only loss he has on his record is a disqualification loss handed to him by Seth Rollins. However, even that loss was due to Reigns not letting Rollins free from the guillotine choke even after Rollins touching the ropes.
Roman Reigns returned to action in WWE at SummerSlam 2020, where he attacked Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt to cement himself as the company’s biggest heel. He defeated Wyatt at Payback 2020 to win the Universal Championship and since then, went on an undefeated streak. He has defended his Universal Championship thrice at WrestleMania and even beat Brock Lesnar at last year’s WrestleMania to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
The Head Of The Table successfully defended his title against elite superstars like Edge, Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Daniel Bryan. Whilst it is true that he is a part-time superstar in WWE now, a 1200-day undefeated streak is still a great milestone for any superstar. On May 27, if he is still undefeated, then Roman Reigns would complete a 1000-day title reign. If WWE’s plans are to have him tie Hulk Hogan’s 1400+ day reign, then we could see The Head Of The Table as our Universal Champion for a long time.
What’s next for Roman Reigns?
Following his win at WrestleMania 39 against Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns has revealed that he would love to face his arch rival, Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 40.
As far as his current plans go, it’s still unknown who The Tribal Chief is facing next. Fans assumed a rematch would be in place for Cody Rhodes. However, he is currently involved in a feud with Brock Lesnar, following his vicious attack on The American Nightmare. What’s next for The Head of The Table remains to be seen.
