On February 10 WWE universe will be witnessing a final fight for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Title.
Currently, this title is held by Jimmy and Jey Uso, who are having an undefeated streak and hold the tag team championship title for both WWE SmackDown and WWE Raw, this duo from the bloodline family has defended the title for a long amount time, they have proven their dominance every time they step in the ring.
This time they will be facing the new number-one contender Ricochet and Braun Strowman in the ring in order to defend their SmackDown Tag team Championship title.
The newly formed tag team have become the number one contender when they defeated Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of the Imperium in a Tag Team Championship match of the tourney. Strowman and Ricochet were not originally in the tag team tournament, however, they replaced Drew McIntyre and Sheamus when this duo was attacked by Viking Raiders in a pre-match.
In this interesting match-up between Ricochet, and Braun Strowman versus The Imperium, The Imperium were considered to be favorites. Everything changed when Braun Strowman impressed everyone with his resilience and power whereas Ricochet showcased his agility.
Gunther from The Imperium showed his presence during this match, he also tried provoking and distracting Braun Strowman during the match. But after getting warned by the referee Gunther was asked to leave.
Defeating The Imperium was not an easy task, Ricochet, and Braun Strowman pulled out every move from their pocket to seal the victory. The moment of the match was when Strowman hits Kaiser with a monster bomb followed by which Ricochet climbs on the shoulders of Strowman and uses him as a launch pad to land on Kaiser. This move left Kaiser completely helpless and losing the match to this new duo.
Following this win, this newly formed tag team will be facing Jimmy and Jey Uso in the finals. It will be interesting to see how this duo performs against the dominant Usos’.
Braun Strowman will also be facing Gunther in a later match-up for the title of Intercontinental Champion. It would be interesting to see if Gunther can defend his title and also take revenge on behalf of The Imperium.
