This week on WWE NXT, we saw Johnny Gargano kick off the show. Johnny Wrestling was definitely thrilled to be back in his “home” that is NXT, but all that changed quickly when he realized that Grayson Waller had invaded his real home.
Johnny kicked off the segment with strong words for Waller, who he accuses of ruining his last night on NXT when he ambushed Gargano with a steel chair. He says that he is back at his old stomping grounds, to finish his own story.
During this segment, however, commentator Vic Joseph went from the announcer’s table to inform Johnny that Waller was live streaming from outside his and Candice LeRae’s house.
Upon seeing this, Johnny rushed out of the arena to his house. Eventually, Waller even started streaming from inside of Johnny Gargano’s house, going so far as to mock him, saying that the main roster money must be nice as his house was built like a palace, with enough room to keep his “action figures”.
What went down at Johnny Gargano’s home
When Johnny finally arrived at his home, Waller was waiting to attack as the pair engaged in a brawl in the front yard. The cameras also caught Candice LeRae and Quill(also known as “Baby Wrestling”) watching in horror as the two continued to fight.
In the end, Johnny was beaten by Waller pretty badly, in front of his family. Waller continued to taunt his wife and young son. This segment ended in a pretty depressing note as Baby Wrestling struggled to get to his daddy.
Later in the night, Waller shared a photo of Johnny’s son in tears, a move that got him even more heat from fans on social media.
It looks like the rivalry between Grayson and Gargano has gone way too personal. It should make their match at Stand & Deliver more interesting. But what do you guys think? Did Grayson really need to take his rivalry with Gargano this far?
