Jerry Lawler hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since Royal Rumble earlier this year. Lawler encountered a stroke and was hospitalized earlier this year. However, he is still unable to make his comeback and is still hospitalized.
Jerry Lawler has been the voice of WWE for over two decades and is still considered a top star. He commentated along with the likes of Michael Cole, Jim Ross, Byron Saxton, and many more.
Jerry Lawler was seen during the Royal Rumble PLE this year after which he had an acute stroke. It didn’t look good at all and was very severe but somehow he survived the stroke and was hospitalized. After he got hospitalized, his condition didn’t get any better as he couldn’t make much movements.
While speaking in a podcast earlier, Zeb Colter mentioned Jerry Lawler and his current health condition.
“He is much better, but still not recovering as well as they would hope. He has trouble finishing sentences. I mean, he talks well. His voice has changed somewhat. He talks, but when he gets to the end of the sentence, he starts searching for words to end the sentence and he gets frustrated.”
Lawler was not even present at Wrestlemania which shows the amount of pain he is in. Jerry Lawler was announced to be a part of a promotional event but was recently called off the show. The promoters showed concern about his health stating he is still not perfectly available for promotions.
When Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack on live TV in 2012
Jerry Lawler had a heart attack on September 10, 2012, during WWE RAW. Lawler was at the commentary desk when the event happened, and he abruptly passed out.
Medicals rushed to the building and took Lawler to a hospital where he recovered.
It is still unclear when The King will fully heal and make a comeback.
