The road to WrestleMania is on and with every new day, we are getting updates from various sources about matches. This time, however, the player announced himself for a match. We are talking about Finn Balor who recently challenged The Edge for WrestleMania.
Last week at the post-match conference of Elimination Chamber, Austin Theory puts on a challenge for his United States Championship. Theory that night was the men’s Elimination Chamber winner. However, the game was interrupted by Logan Paul’s intrusion who tomb-stomped Seth Rollins leading Austin Theory easily retain his US Title.
This made Theory overconfident who put on the open challenge which was recently got accepted by The Edge. Both superstars came in the ring for the US championship the very next day at RAW. Their match was the main event of the night and indeed was a worthy one. Edge was absolutely fantastic in that match as no one could tell that was a 49-year-old guy in that ring. Edge was very close to becoming the United States champion but the match got interrupted. But this time, not Logal Paul but Fill Balor who came and attack Edge.
Edge was about to deliver the Spear but Theory somehow matched to an escape and went for A – Town Down but Edge reverse it to deliver Edgecution. Before he pinfall Theory, Fill Balor appears and kicked Edge in the face. Austin Theory gets up and went for A – Town Down for a win. Theory retains his United States Title.
Now, after all of that shit happened, Finn Balor finally challenged The Edge for WrestleMania. He said, “Edge, my old friend, you thought this was over at Elimination Chamber? You don’t get to decide when this is over, this is over when I say it is. Edge, you’re playing checkers. The Prince, he’s playing chess, and there’s still one more move. So if you accept my challenge, I end this at WrestleMania. Checkmate!”
WrestleMania is a huge event and everyone wants to be a part of it Edge is free for WrestleMania and is even fed up with what Balor did to him. I guess, Edge is gonna accept the challenge and we might see Finn Balor vs The Edge at WrestleMania 39.
