Cora Jade recently cut a promo and referred to CM Punk and AJ Lee while explaining her actions made on the NXT women’s champion which took the internet by shock.
During a promo on NXT 2.0, Cora Jade was in the ring to explain her actions last week as she attacked NXT Women’s champion Indi Hartwell after Indi defended her title against Zoey Stark last week.
Jade stated that Zoey could never be a champion and can never match that level of her, Zoey can only do things in the ring which she can’t do but still can never achieve the championship gold.
During her promotional segment, Cora paid homage to CM Punk and AJ Lee by using the same lines as they did being in the company.
Jade started her promo with the infamous phrase Punk used all the time: ‘Do I have everybody’s attention now?” Jade even saw the opportunity to use AJ Lee’s line as she phrased ‘I am the hero of this story’, which Lee used before the main roster debut of Paige.
Cora Jade is a huge CM Punk fan
Cora has been a Punk fan since her childhood and has always admired the former WWE champion and his work. Jade has also been a huge fan of Lee and Saraya and even dressed up as the former Diva’s champion in one of the Halloween events last year.
Punk has even uplifted Cora in the past as he mentioned Jade while replying to Indi Hartwell, stating he needs to face Jade back in January 2022 to which Cora posted a photo of her with Punk quoting she is ready. Followed by Punk praising her and telling her that they all are proud of her and advising her not to encourage any hate towards her.
The fangirl has also openly talked about how Punk made her what she is today and how her straight-edge ethics helped during her high school and was also seen during a meet-and-greet event back during her teen days. The video surfaced on social media after Jade had become a superstar in WWE and people got to know about the amount of respect she has for Punk as she was in tears meeting her idol for the first time.
